Character

Developer Commentary

Since the Transcendent Class update, Archer has excelled at disrupting enemies in close quarters by combining a wide range of instant activation and movement skills.

With a Radiant Skill Sigil (Increase Max Charges) applied to Bolt Storm, he could use each of his instant activation skills, Bolt Storm, Light Beam, and Fend Off, twice, all with cooldowns of less than 10 sec. Combined with the Damage Reduction and Grab Immunity effects of these skills, this allowed him to perform too consistently in close-range engagements.

He also has numerous mobility options, including Snapshot, Lambent Smash, and the Rabam Skills Winged Strike and Zephyr Leap. His primary close-range skills, Scatter Shot, Luminous Barrage, and Circle of Thorns, also have short cooldowns. Before these changes, this allowed him to build an effective skill rotation with only a small number of offensive skills while incorporating numerous movement skills. Scatter Shot, in particular, has a 4-sec cooldown and up to 2 charges, making it highly effective when paired with Guardian and Defined Skill Sigils.

More importantly, the Crossbow's close-range bonus damage was front-loaded onto the first hit, dealing additional damage equal to 15% of the skill's total damage at once. This allowed him to deal excessive damage with a single hit, so we determined that adjustments to his close-range performance were necessary.

In this update, we removed Instant Activation from Bolt Storm and reduced the Max Charges of Lambent Smash by 1. We also changed the Crossbow's additional close-range damage to be calculated and applied separately for each hit, rather than applying the full amount to the first hit. These changes are intended to reduce his excessive close-range mobility and front-loaded damage.

We also increased the PvE damage of Circle of Thorns and Luminous Barrage to help him remain effective in Open World regions. Additionally, we strengthened Bullseye and Jackpot to broaden his ranged options beyond Sylvia's Vengeance and Righteous Smite.

While Flow: Arrows of Vengeance for Sylvia's Vengeance and Zephyr Leap are somewhat strong, our review of performance data across all content indicates that they do not require adjustment at this time. We will continue to monitor their performance.

We will continue to evaluate class balance and performance across all content and make further adjustments as needed.

Developer Commentary

Maehwa excels at swiftly traversing large battlefields with her exceptional mobility.
However, we have received considerable feedback from Adventurers that her numerous attack skills with Grab Immunity make her difficult to counter.

In this update, we reduced her access to Grab Immunity by removing the effect from the Rabam Skill Razorblade Corolla. At the same time, to help her maintain solid combat performance, we enhanced Petal Ward with an additional hit based on a former skill, Flow: Overpower, as well as Stun and Knockback effects.

Following this update, we will continue to review Adventurer feedback and conduct internal testing as we work toward achieving a healthy balance.

Petal Ward

- Changed the skill so that holding the skill button after use or using the skill during Auto-Combat has a chance to trigger an additional hit.
ㆍThe additional hit functions the same as Flow: Overpower, a former Primrose skill.

- Added "Super Armor during additional attack" to the skill description.
ㆍThis effect has already been in place.

ㆍ Daze on last hit remains unchanged.

- Fixed an issue where the debuff from Wind Slicer would occasionally not be applied on hit.

Developer Commentary

With the Transcendent Class Update, the number of skill uses required to activate Ynix's Flame was increased from 3 to 4.
This adjustment was part of our broader effort to reduce the overall prevalence of Forward Guard and Rear Super Armor effects.

However, because Guardian's defensive capabilities rely heavily on Forward Guard of Ynix's Flame, she previously had access to fewer Damage Reduction and Grab Immunity effects than other classes.

To compensate for this, we added Grab Immunity to Descent of the Flame and changed the Defined Skill Sigil slot for Frigid Talons to a Guardian Skill Sigil slot.

We also carefully considered Adventurer suggestions to make a Radiant Skill Sigil available for Descent of the Flame. However, internal testing showed that allowing the skill to have up to 2 charges would give her overwhelmingly greater mobility than other classes. We therefore chose to strengthen her in a different way.

We hope these changes will help Guardian feel even more imposing and resilient on the battlefield.

- Improved the description of the Inertia Control passive available when the Jordun is selected.
ㆍSkill performance remains unchanged.

Before

Attack speed of the next use of any of these skills +10%

After

Skill speed of the next use of any of these skills +10%

Frigid Talons

- Changed its Defined Skill Sigil slot to a Guardian Skill Sigil slot.
ㆍThe Skill Sigil equipped to this skill has been unequipped and can be found in the Chest of Sigil.

Descent of the Flame

- Added Grab Immunity while moving.

Dragon's Maw

- Changed the debuff from Knock-up to Knockdown.

Infernal Purge

- Changed the debuff from Bound to Stun.

- Fixed an issue where Ynix's Flame was not applied when comboing into Descent of the Flame with the Jordun selected.

Developer Commentary

Corsair is a hybrid class who wields the Serenaca at close range and the Patraca at mid to long range. While her PvE performance and the usage rates of both weapons are currently stable, we found that resource management constraints made it difficult to summon the Slippery Scallywags, one of Patraca's core mechanics.

In particular, she had fewer ways to recover the MP required for summoning than Buccaneer did before the Transcendent Class Update, making it difficult to call the Slippery Scallywags as often as intended. To improve her resource management, we added MP recovery to a certain skill so she can activate the summon effect more consistently.

We also increased the attack range of Cap'n's Orders: Fire Away! to make it more useful and added combos between key Serenaca and Patraca skills to create smoother transitions between attacks. We will continue to monitor Corsair closely to preserve what makes her unique and enjoyable while maintaining her overall performance.

- Added the following effects to Harpoon skills while the Patraca is selected.

Cap'n's Orders: Fire Away!

Developer Commentary

As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain class balance, we analyzed performance data from Open World regions such as Mountain of Eternal Winter and Land of the Sherekhan. The data showed that Sage was defeating fewer monsters than other classes. To improve his PvE performance, we increased the damage of Void Beam and Lightning Sentinel by 10%.

The placement of his Radiant Skill Sigil slot was also reviewed. It is currently assigned to Thunderclap, an instant-activation movement skill, which may limit its offensive utility.

One option considered was moving the Sigil slot to a core offensive skill such as Judgment of Ator or Spatial Shatter. However, these skills already possess strong offensive capabilities due to their enhanced attacks granted by the class passive. Removing the Radiant Skill Sigil slot from Thunderclap could also weaken the class's unconventional playstyle. We therefore determined that keeping it on Thunderclap would best preserve his identity while maintaining overall balance.

Following these damage adjustments, we will continue to closely monitor the his performance and the effectiveness of the Skill Sigils.

New Content and Improvements

Developer Commentary

With this update, we changed the clue for obtaining Valtarra's Flame, one of the materials required to craft the Treasure Trent Axe.

The previous clue, "something gold" referred to an Epic Unknown Glyph.
Since some Adventurers have already crafted the Trent Axe, the method for obtaining Valtarra's Flame had already been discovered. However, as a result of the Glyph streamlining changes included in today's update, Epic Unknown Glyphs can no longer be obtained.

Accordingly, the clue for Valtarra's Flame has been updated.

- Changed the description of Valtarra's Flame, a material used to craft the Treasure Trent Axe, as follows.

Give something gold, its value yet unproven, to the one who serves as a signpost.

Give something red, its value yet unproven, to the one who serves as a signpost.

- Fixed an issue where the Invincibility effect on the HP bar would overlap when a character was defeated and revived multiple times in succession.
- Changed so that the Ramoness icon is displayed to the right of the minimap during Ramoness Arena.
