The Patch Notes for the update on April 27 (Tuesday) are here!


In this update, we’ve added new content, events, bug fixes, and overall improvements to the game.
See below for more details about this update.

■ New Class: Kunoichi

Developer's comment
Kunoichi, the the assassin who ravages her enemies with her moonlit blade, has appeared in Black Desert Mobile.
She can capitalize on even the smallest weakness and reach enemies in an instant, dealing critical damage while staying safe from harm.

- The new class, Kunoichi, is Ascended upon creation.
- Kunoichi has 4 attack skills unlocked upon creation.
- From Lv 10 you can unlock new skills by completing missions.
※ If you have an Awakened or Ascended character in your family with unlocked skills, you can immediately unlock her skills by going to the skillbook seller in town.
※ Any skill that requires the character to be at a certain level will be available after reaching that level.
- Complete the main quest [The Boss, Red Nose] and story quest [Remembering Power: Kunoichi] to begin unlocking Kunoichi's skills.

 

■ New Constellations

Developer's comment

New constellations have been discovered in the night sky.

 

An enemy born of the treant's roots escaped the darkened Treant Owl Constellation, while from the Key constellation emerges an enemy looking to open the locked rift. An extremely agile enemy has come out from the Wagon constellation.

 

We hope you enjoy these new constellations. Please look forward to further additions to the night sky in the future!

■ Path to Power: Great Desert

Developer's comment

Below the scorching sun of the Great Desert are great challenges for our Adventurers, such as oases with unique stories and the valuable treasures slumbering in the Black Rock Shrine.

 

Excavation, combat, and visiting temples are just some of the experiences that Adventurers can have in the Great Desert, but some may be feeling lost as to where to start.

 

In response to this, we added Path to Power quests for Adventurers new to the Great Desert, starting with a Great Desert Entry family quest. We have also included quests for excavation, treasure appraisal, combat, and temple exploration quests that will flow alongside the rest of your gameplay.

 

The quests were made so that Adventurers following the quests will be able to familiarize themselves with the many features available in Great Desert.

 

We hope that, by learning how to obtain and use items exclusive to the Great Desert, such as Edana's Coins and Black Spirit's Runes, you will be able to enjoy your adventures to the fullest.

 

- Added Path to Power quests for the Great Desert content in order to improve the quality of your adventures in the Great Desert.
ㆍ The Path to Power quests are available after completing the family quest [The Opening of the Desert].

 

 

Developer's comment

Through this update, we focused on balancing out differences between classes, as we mentioned in the Kunoichi video that premiered on April 12th.

 

We recognize that class balance is an especially sensitive issue, and not just in the time and cost that developing a character requires.

 

This update won't achieve complete balance between classes, but we will continue to work on making the differences between classes as distinct as possible, and making sure that the time spent on developing a character will not feel like a waste.

 

Since the power of some characters has been decreased, we are also gifting our Adventurers with a set of Class Change items via mail, so that they may change characters freely.

- Sent a set of Class Change items to all Adventurers' mail.
ㆍThe items will be available in your mail until the maintenance on May 11.
ㆍAny unused Class Change items will be deleted during the maintenance on May 11.

 

■ General Changes

Developer's Comment

We increased the damage dealt to World Bosses by classes that previously were not able to deal much damage. This was to fix the issue caused by certain classes with similar CP dealing much less damage to World Bosses compared to others.

- Improved some classes' damage in World Boss mode.

■ Archmage

Developer's Comment

The "Frigid Fog" skill, due to its powerful damage, was used frequently in major battlefields like Battlefield of the Sun, although it is a skill meant to be used while invincible.

 

Therefore, we reduced the PvP damage for Frigid Fog and added a skill combo for Meteor Shower so that Adventurers will rely less on Frigid Fog.

■ Nova

Developer's Comment

Some Adventurers felt compelled to play as Nova as she proved to be safer to use for hunting than other classes, even when her CP was lower. We decreased the distance monsters are pushed when hit by Nova so that her efficiency in battle, relative to her CP, is comparable to other classes.

■ Windwalker

Developer's Comment

The PvP Damage for Windwalker for the combo skills after Stun increased considerably in the last balance patch.
But with the addition of an extra hit for Rupture before or after a grab, the overall PvP damage for the skill became too high, and we changed it accordingly.

■ Lancer

Developer's Comment

In the last update, we changed Lancer's Holy Thrust skill so that a maximum of two attacks are now available per use. To balance this out, we decreased her PvP damage since Lancer's debuff resistance duration is longer.

■ Destroyer

Developer's Comment

Destroyer uses Iron Buster to deal damage from afar, but his core skills, like Slugfest and To the Grave, were optimized as close-range attacks. We added the Overheat mechanic, which allows Adventurers to better utilize mid and long-range skills for the Iron Buster, and updated the To the Grave skill to allow for a more diversified gameplay experience.

- Iron Buster Mastery
· Added Overheat effect to the skill.

Using Iron Buster Mastery 5 times will cause Overheat to take effect for 10 seconds.
While Overheat is active, additional effects will apply to Bombardment, Fire Bomb, Funeral Blast, Flame Buster, and To the Grave.

- Flame Buster
· Added Superarmor effect while using the skill (does not apply in the Arena).

Developer's Comment

We increased the damage dealt by Raging Thunder, Titan's core skill, in order to increase his combat efficiency, as Raging Thunder previously did low damage relative to its long casting time.

■ Spiritwalker

Developer's Comment

Spiritwalker's moving skills, like Leaping Tiger and Dragon Fang, were difficult to control as she possessed limited long-range capability, forcing her to move closer to attack. We addressed this problem by increasing the movement range for additional hits of Dragon Fang, and changed Dance of the Blue Dragon to a long-range attack so that you could better adjust to your combat situation. We also decided that since Spiritwalker, cannot ride the Heilang like Lupa, her class identity needed to be established more definitively. We added new mechanics to Heavenly Beast skills to address this issue.

· Changed the action on the second hit and increased movement distance.

- Heavenly Beasts' Blessing
· Added the Descent of the Heavenly Beast effect.

By receiving the spirit of a Heavenly Beast, she becomes more powerful for 10 seconds.
※ Descent of Heavenly Beast is applied at random and each dance skill use increases the chance of the effect happening.

- Dance of the Blue Dragon
· Improved the skill to target an enemy and aim the attack in the enemy's direction.
· Increased the skill's PvP damage.

■ Huntress

Developer's Comment

With the addition of classes with excellent mobility, classes that attack from a distance became less efficient in combat.
In response to this, we increased the movement range of Huntress' Evasion, Blasting Gust, and Evasive Explosion Shot to better establish her identity as a long distance attacking class.

■ Warlord

Developer's Comment

Warlord can inflict great damage in a short amount of time, but his limited mobility and debuff resistance during skill combos meant that he couldn't maintain combat for long. In response to this, we increased the maximum charges for Upper Hand, a debuff resistance skill, and reduced the cooldown for Circle Slash in order to increase Warlord's combat durability. We also added the "To Arms" mechanic to better balance out Warlord's characteristics and combo capabilities.

- Crescent Blade Mastery
· Added To Arms effect.

Running, evading, or using a skill will strengthen Upper Hand, Conduit, and Circle Slash.

You can trigger the To Arms effect while Running, evading, or using a skill, which will activate it. To Arms will allow you to strengthen and use one of the following skills: Upper Hand, Conduit, and Circle Slash. (Updated on April 28)

· Changed 'Bound on hit' to 'Knockback on hit'.
· Increased the maximum uses of the skill by 1. (1 use > 2 uses)

- Conduit
· Improved the skill to allow faster use of [Flow: Eruption].

■ Gladiator

Developer's Comment

Gladiator is all about refusing to back down and latching on to the enemy to attack, which made the increased mobility of other classes a threat to his concept.

 

In response to this, we decreased the delay effect for Spinning Slash and changed Charging Thrust and Piercing Spear so that Gladiator could charge at the enemy more easily.

 

We also changed Gladiator to be able to use skills while blocking, so that classes would be more balanced and the Gladiator's concept would still be maintained.

- Improved the defensive stance to allow using skills while blocking attacks.

- Spinning Slash
ㆍ Applied the enhancement Consecutive Slash as a basic effect and added the [Flow: Ultimate Spinning Slash] instead.

Developer's Comment

As we mentioned in the developer commentary video, we are releasing match rates and winning rates for each class through the fourth week of April so that we can also check this balance patch through debates and discussions among our Adventurers.

 

We will release match rates and winning rates once more in the future so that Adventurers will have access to the after effects of the balance patch, and will continue to work on reducing the combat differences between classes.

■ Friendly Arena

Comments from the Black Desert Service Team
Many Adventurers who enjoy playing PvP modes have voiced their wish for a similar kind of resistance skills found in Ranked and Normal Arena to be applied to the Friendly Arena.

 

Due to this, we have improved the Friendly Arena to better suit your wishes. We hope that you enjoy fighting in the Friendly Arena and we will continue to improve the different modes of the game.

- Modified the number of Resistance skills allowed in the Friendly Arena to match Ranked and Normal Arenas.

 

■ Ramoness
- In Ramoness Arena, after using a Relic, invincibility will be applied until the Elephant Stomp skill animation ends, if it was used after the Relic duration ends.
- In Ramoness Arena, after using a Relic, invincibility will be applied until the rolling or movement skill animation ends, if it was used after the Relic duration ends. (Updated on April 27)
- Improved Watch Mode to dissolve the room if the room creator leaves the party.

 

■ Camp
- Improved the camp worker's preferences for gifts equally.

 

■ Item
- Improved the Lightstone Fragment item description and added information regarding Lightstone and Holy Vial of Light.

 

■ Hadum's Realm
- Changed the Holy Vial of Light base setting to On.
ㆍ The option you selected before the update will be maintained.

 

■ Awakened Enhancement

- Improved Auto-Awakening to allow easier setting of lower range numbers.

 

■ Daily/Weekly Tasks
- Improved the tasks by reducing the number of tasks and rearranging them based on the tasks' importance, while improving the rewards.
ㆍ The tasks regarding the Ranked Arena and Ramoness have been moved to weekly tasks.
ㆍ The rewards for the weekly tasks have been improved.

- Fixed an issue where pressing the preview button multiple times for [Immolation] displayed the character dying.

- Fixed an issue where at times having the helmet display settings on while wearing a head decoration caused a display issue.

 

■ UI
- Fixed an issue where the Fishing button didn't display at times in places where fishing is available.
- Fixed a UI overlap display issue that appeared at times when the character died during Boss Rush.
- Fixed an issue where the order of characters displayed in the lobby changed to the most recently created.

 

■ Ramoness
- Improved the settings for the Ramoness Watch Mode so that settings related to hiding helmet, face-wear, etc. would apply as intended.

 

■ Market
- Fixed an issue where, at times, an acquisition notification did not show up when items were registered at the market.

 

■ HP/SP Bar

- Fixed an issue where, at times, HP/SP bar effects would not display correctly.

 

■ Preview Gear
- Fixed an issue where, at times, the characters' base visuals were displayed instead of the customized appearance.
- Improved Outfit information to display which Outfits' appearance and stats were applied.

 

■ Great Desert
