[Notice] Upcoming Reset of Inactive Family Names
Greetings, Adventurers! This is the Black Desert Mobile Service Team.
We will be resetting the Family names of inactive Adventurers
to free up names for new adventures.
If you wish to keep your Family name,
please log in to the game before maintenance on Nov 17 (Tue).
■ Inactive Family Name Reset
- Schedule: During maintenance on Nov 17, 2026 (Tue)
- Affected Family Names: Names belonging to Adventurers who have not logged in since Nov 17, 2025 (Mon), 00:00
※ Adventurers whose Family names are reset will receive Family Name Change Coupon x1 in their in-game mailbox on the day of the reset. This coupon will allow them to choose a new Family name when they log in on or after Nov 17, 2026.
❗ The following Family names will be excluded from the reset, even if the Adventurer has not logged in for over a year.
1. Family names in the format "REST" followed by numbers or "User" followed by numbers
2. Family names belonging to accounts permanently banned for violating the Operational Policy
❗ Please Note
- Guild names and character names will not be reset.
- Family names made available by the reset can be used immediately, without the usual 30-day waiting period.
· The existing 30-day waiting period will still apply to Family names made available through a Family name change or account deletion.
- If you do not log in before the inactive Family name reset begins, your Family name will be included in the reset.
- Once the reset is complete, your previous Family name cannot be restored.
· If you wish to keep your Family name, please log in to the game before Nov 17 (Tue).
- A Family name reset will not affect your existing Family data, character data, or items.
- Family Name Change Coupons issued to affected Adventurers can be claimed until Nov 17, 2036 (Mon).
- To prevent players from rushing to claim specific Family names, we will not announce which Family names have been reset.
- The friend search feature only searches for Adventurers on your current server. A Family on another server will not appear in the search results.
