Test Server Patch Notes

Greetings, Adventurers.
This is the Black Desert Mobile Service Team.

The Patch Notes for BDM Test Server update on Sep 1 are here!
※ All contents below are for the test server only, and may differ from the actual update on the live server.

Fortress Battle

Developer Commentary

Fortress Battle is a large-scale mode that serves as the gateway to the upcoming Siege War, where up to 300 Adventurers clash across a vast battlefield.

The battlefield features two Forts, one in the west and one in the east. Guilds that secure final control of a Fort will qualify for Siege War.

Rather than having every guild converge on a single location to compete through sheer force, Fortress Battle was designed to create dynamic situations across the battlefield and allow each guild to forge its own story.

For example, guilds confident in their combat strength can attempt to occupy a Fort early in the battle. Alternatively, they can strengthen their position by occupying War Camps, Outposts, Lumber Mills, and Smelters across the battlefield to secure the resources needed to craft siege weapons. Occupied nodes can also serve as revival points for guild members.

Guilds can also defeat the Red Dragon between the two Forts to obtain a powerful buff and gain an advantage in battle. However, focusing on the dragon may leave occupied nodes vulnerable to other guilds, so choosing the right time to engage it will be crucial.

When Fortress Battle launches on the live server, we plan to provide rewards based on the nodes occupied, including War Camps and Outposts, even for guilds that do not secure final control of a Fort. We hope you enjoy employing a wide range of tactics to dominate the battlefield by targeting different nodes based on your guild's objectives.

We are also hard at work developing the new Siege War to bring it to Adventurers. We will share its schedule and further details on the official website as soon as they are ready.
