Featured Updates - Chaos Lightstone

Developer Commentary:

On February 20th, we carried out a content revamp during our update maintenance. While preparing for the Chaos Lightstone update, we put a lot of thought into the methods of obtaining and enhancing them.

To improve the Enhance Limit system for Primal Lightstones and the repetitiveness of crafting Lightstones to obtain a Max Stats Abyssal Lightstone, we differentiated a few aspects from Primal Lightstones for Chaos Lightstones.

First, all Chaos Lightstones have the same stats. For Lightstones of Primal-grade or lower, the effects vary depending on whether they are Aan, Ti, Ki, or Tae. Also, the numerical value of each effect changes every time a Lightstone is crafted, so Adventurers had to obtain an Abyssal Lightstone with max stats to attempt enhancement.

To eliminate this inconvenience, all types of Chaos Lightstones will have the same effects and stats when crafted.

Another different factor for Chaos Lightstones is that they don't have Enhance Limit. Previously, even if you obtained an Abyssal Lightstone of max stats and crafted it into a Primal Lightstone, each failed enhancement attempt would decrease Enhance Limit and you would have to repeatedly craft Primal Lightstones to obtain a higher enhancement level Lightstone.

As this was also an inconvenience for our Adventurers, we removed the Enhance Limit system so that you can attempt enhancement to the highest enhancement level without having to craft more than one of each type of Lightstone: Aan, Ti, Ki, and Tae as long as you have enough materials.

Also, you can use a +14 or higher Primal Lightstone as a material to craft a Chaos Lightstone. If you craft a +14 Primal Lightstone to craft a Chaos Lightstone, you will obtain a +0 Chaos Lightstone with the stats of the +14 Primal Lightstone used.

Additionally, the quantity of Chaos Elements and the enhancement level of the Chaos Lightstone depend on the enhancement level of the Chaos Lightstone used as the material.

We hope this Chaos Lightstone update improved from the previous grade will become a new goal for progression to our Adventurers.


- Added Chaos Lightstone: "Aan," "Ti," "Ki," and "Tae."
ㆍ Their AP and DP are higher than the Primal Lightstones.



- The materials required for crafting Chaos Lightstone are as follows.

- The higher the level of the +14 or higher enhancement level Primal Lightstone used as the material to craft a Chaos Lightstone, the fewer Chaos Elements are required.
ㆍ This will also increase the enhancement level of the resulting Chaos Lightstone.


- When you use the [Chaos] Lightstone Chest, you can select the type of +0 Chaos Lightstone to obtain.


- Chaos Lightstones come with a fixed sub-stat of Field Combat EXP +10%.
ㆍ This applies equally to Aan, Ti, Ki, and Tae.
- The sub-stats of Primal Lightstones do not carry over when crafting Chaos Lightstones.
ㆍ As a result, all stats are the same when crafting Chaos Lightstones, regardless of whether you use a max stat Primal Lightstone or not.



- The part-specific effects of Aan, Ti, Ki, and Tae for the Chaos Lightstone will be applied as follows:

- Chaos Lightstones can be enhanced up to +20, using Chaos Elements as a material at a set chance per level.
ㆍ The higher the enhancement level, the more Chaos Elements are required.
- The Auto-Enhance feature is also available for Chaos Lightstones.
ㆍ You must select a target level and restoration material.



- Upon failed enhancement, you can use Silver or Restoration Scrolls for guaranteed restoration.
ㆍ The quantity consumed for restoring all enhancement levels is identical.


- A Chaos Lightstone can have one main stat enchanted per part.
ㆍ Attempting an enchantment once consumes 30,000,000 Silver and Ah'krad x1.
ㆍ The type and value of the main stat are determined by a set rate when attempting an Enchantment.
ㆍ Restoring after an enchantment consumes Ah'krad x1.


- The Auto-Enchant feature is available for Chaos Lightstones.
ㆍ You can select the desired main stat and its value.
ㆍ You can choose whether to restore or not, and each restoration consumes Ah'krad x1.

- You can craft 30 Chaos Elements using a +0 Chaos Lightstone as a material.
- Changed the Chaos Lightstone Chest to a selection chest.

 

 

Class

Developer Commentary:

Previously, as the effects of various skills would apply at different times, it wasn't quite intuitive.

In order to make it more intuitive, we decided to make improvements so that the start of a cooldown begins when a skill is used, and the transition to another motion from using Evasion or other skill marks the end of a skill, regardless of the on hit or ending animations.

We've adjusted the passive skill effects of certain classes accordingly that either wouldn't apply to consecutive attacks, additional attacks, or flow skills or skill enhancements or wouldn't activate until a skill was fully used.

Also, we've made balance changes to certain classes with the above improvements in mind, while also referencing usage and win rates in Arena content. We will work continue making class balance changes.

 


- Added a new guard type "Damage Reduction."

ㆍ All damage taken will decrease by an additional 75% while the above effect is applied.

- "Remove Debuff (All Debuffs)" will now include [Buccaneer] Red Cannonball, [Kunoichi] Severe Bleed, and Burn for Memory Imprints.
- Changed certain skill effects to apply regardless of the skill enhancement and additional hits.

Class Adjustment
Gladiator - The skill damage increase effect for "Spinning Slash" from the passive "Strong Principle" applies for the additional attack of "Spinning Slash" not enhanced with "Flow: Ultimate Spinning Slash." 
Windwalker - Using charge skills without using all additional attacks with the flow skill enhancement applied meets the "Using charge skills 3 times" requirement to trigger the "Wind Energy" effect. 
Blade Master - The "Resonant Blade" effect applies to additional attacks and flow skill enhancements for certain skills. 
Sura - The next skill damage increase effect applied in stealth after using "Shadow Cloak" applies until the end of the skill. 
Grandmaster - The "Next skill's damage increase (2 times)" effect of the passive "Perseverance" applies to the next skill's flow skill enhancement and additional attacks. 
Mystic - The "Next skill's damage increase" effect of the passive "Perseverance" applies to the next skill's flow skill enhancement and additional attacks.

- Increased "PvP Damage Dealt" (5% → 10%).

- Divided Night of Vengeful Souls into northern and southern regions.

- Added the Serene Altar to a specific location.
ㆍ It can only be used during the Night of Vengeful Souls.
- Adjusted the CP of monsters that spawn in each location due to the division of regions.
ㆍ The higher the CP of the monster you defeat, the higher the score you will obtain.
- Changed the spawn locations of Apex Changui and Apex Changui Specter.
ㆍ The number that spawn remains the same.


- Changed to require only one [Abyssal] Magic Crystal for crafting Abyssal Crystal Fluid.


- Increased "Abyssal Crystal Fluid" required in crafting recipes by 15 times.
- Increased the quantity of Abyssal Crystal Fluid obtained as a reward for completing stories and more by 15 times.
ㆍ The Abyssal Crystal Fluid you owned before the update has been retrospectively increased by 15 times and sent to your mailbox.


- Changed either Abyssal Crystal Fluid x1 or [Abyssal] Lucky Crystal Chest x1 to be selectable when using a [Abyssal] Crystal Chest.
ㆍ When using the [Abyssal] Lucky Crystal Chest, you will obtain an [Abyssal] Dimensional Crystal with determined stats.
ㆍ Any [Event] [Abyssal] Crystal Chests that you still possess through event rewards has been retroactively changed to [Abyssal] Crystal Chests and sent to your mailbox.

- Tripled the quantity of Cron Stones obtained from crafting in the Alchemy Lab in Camp.
ㆍ Tripled the materials spent and task duration.
- Adjusted the quantity of Cron Stones obtained to be identical to Lv 16 Alchemy Lab in all tiers of Alchemy Lab.
- Expanded the max upgrade level for the Food Storage to 27.

- Changed the location of the Battle-Hardened Ogre in the Old Dandelion Node War to a place that cannot be attacked before it begins.
- Changed the HP of the Holy Artifact, Guard Tower, and Barricade in Nodes with a participation limit based on the Viscount CP.

- Added visual effects to display when having completed all Northeast Kamasylvia main quests.
- Removed titles that cannot be acquired from the Ancient Ruins from the list of Titles Not Acquired.

 

- Removed "Ancient Ruins" from the acquisition info displayed when holding the Ancient Gold Coin icon In Shakatu's Shop.
- Improved the direction to display up to the target location for the quest "The First Witch's Trial" from the Story - "The Mountain of Eternal Winter."
- Unified "craft" and "upgrade" terms for crafting and upgrading Mystical Outfit used from the Story - "Encarotia's Outfit Shop" and the Season Pass.
- Added a notification message to display when interacting with the Call-Up Board after completing the weekly Call-Up Board Mission.



Error Fixes

- [Grandmaster/Yacha] Fixed an issue where some outfit decorations were displayed abnormally when using the "Eagle Drop" skill while wearing the "Blazing Inferno" outfit.
- [Grandmaster] Fixed an issue where the "Increase Damage" effect of the "Perseverance" passive skill was continuously maintained in certain situations.
- [Grandmaster] Fixed an issue where "Flow: Tempest Fangs" of the skill "Energy Vacuum" skill was used without applying "Forward Guard" even when the "Perseverance" effect was applied.
- [Sura] Fixed an issue where the weapon was displayed abnormally while using skills.
- [Titan] Fixed an issue where the enemy could not be grabbed when moving with the direction keys just before using consecutive grab for "Piledriver" enhanced with "Flow: Toss."
- [Archmage] Fixed an issue where the staff would sometimes not display after using a succession skill.
- [Reaper] Fixed an issue where you would teleport behind the target when using "Soul Spike" after "Doom Vortex."
- [Reaper] Fixed an issue where use of the "Rift Slicer" skill would be interrupted due to the elevation difference in some terrain.
- [Buccaneer] Fixed an issue where the passive skill buff (All skill damage +15%) was not applied to the succession skill.
- Fixed an issue where, in content such as Alyaelli's Rift and Boss Rush, the first skill used by classes with a long skill casting distance would not be used and the cooldown would apply to the next skill.
- [Archmage] Fixed an issue where the passive skill effect "Skill damage +10%" would not apply to Succession skills.
- [Blade Master] Fixed an issue where "Resonant Blade" would be abnormally maintained in certain situations.
- [Mystic] Fixed an issue where the "Increase damage of the next skill" effect of the passive "Perseverance" would be abnormally maintained in certain situations.

 

- Fixed an issue where the "Traitor's Jail" monsters that spawn at specific locations in the Blood Wolf Settlement and Blood Wolf Highlands, could not be defeated.
- Fixed an issue where monsters were appearing abnormally in certain zones during the Night of Vengeful Souls.
