Martial God Tournament
Developer Commentary
Arena has been revamped to a new content under the name of Martial God Tournament.
Arena has been a 1:1 PvP content in Black Desert Mobile since the game's launch, enjoyed by many Adventurers in various ways, including official tournaments.
However, it hasn't been easily accessible, with unique systems such as different guard types that work differently from normal field content, resulting in fewer and fewer players. On top of this, balancing the mode separately from the field content has also proved difficult.
To address these issues, we have carried out a comprehensive overhaul of the Arena content.
First, by removing the guard type rules unique to Arena, Adventurers will no longer need to learn separate rules, and the flow of combat during matches is expected to change as well.
Unlike before, where knocking down your opponent has been the key to victory, nullifying your opponent’s attacks with Forward Guard or minimizing damage through Damage Reduction, while dealing greater damage with your own skills, will be the decider of the Martial God Tournament.
We have also expanded the previously confined space of Arena into a larger stage of Martial God Tournament, allowing for more strategical gameplay of your characters.
Since skills and attacks now function the same as they do in the field, we expect to be able to make more flexible balance adjustments moving forward.
- Revamped Arena into Martial God Tournament.
- Removed Ranked Arena, Hero of Karkea, and Normal Arena, and added Martial God Tournament: Ascent, Martial God Tournament: Spar, and Martial God Tournament: Duo.
ㆍ Removed the related guild quests following the removal of Normal Arena.
- The schedule for Martial God Tournaments is as follows:
ㆍ Martial God Tournament: Spar: 00:00 - 24:00
ㆍ Martial God Tournament: Ascent: 18:00 - 02:00
ㆍ Martial God Tournament: Duo: 18:00 - 02:00
- All Martial God Tournament modes use a best-of-three format, with Super Armor and Grab Immunity effects applied the same as in normal hunting zones.
- Points/Ranking Rewards and Season Rewards for Martial God Tournaments reset every month.
- Please also look forward to the official Martial God Tournament Championships currently being scheduled.
[Martial God Tournament: Ascent]
- Schedule: 18:00 - 02:00
- 1:1 match.
- Player CPs are adjusted.

Developer Commentary
As previously announced, we are implementing balance adjustments to grab skills in this update.
Among several options, instead of slowing down the startup motion of grabs and directly affecting the way the skills feel to use, we decided to increase the cooldown and the risks of failure for grab skills, thereby encouraging Adventurers to use them with more caution.
We will continue to monitor their effects after the adjustment and carefully review its adequacy.
