New Region: Mountain of Eternal Winter

Developer Commentary

The Mountain of Eternal Winter, also known as Everfrost, is located beyond Drieghan and always covered in white snow.

There are few who could hope to conquer the mysterious Mountain of Eternal Winter because of the incessant blizzards. Also on this land are the Okjinsini, bloomed from the tears of the Golden Dragon Labreska, and the legend that the warrior who overcomes the Trials of the Six Witches shall stand alone on the icy peak.

You embark on a whole new adventure to climb up the Mountain of Eternal Winter in search of the Holy Flame Ynix, also referred to as Labreska's treasure, as you encounter the villagers of Everfrost and new enemies to fight.

We are also planning an update that'll provide a more meaningful adventure experience by improving co-op content.

- Snow-chilled winds constantly blow in the Mountain of Eternal Winter, occasionally accompanied by blizzards, due to the region's climate, distinct from that of other regions.
- You must complete the quest "Ynix, the Holy Flame" from the Story - "The Mountain of Eternal Winter" to enter "Everfrost."
ㆍ Complete the Family Quest - "[Family] Register Family Name" to unlock the Story.
ㆍ Even new Adventurers can complete Family Quest - "[Family] Register Family Name" and unlock the Story - "The Mountain of Eternal Winter."
ㆍ There are five "Everfrost" Stories in total, and there is no CP requirement to access each of the Stories.
ㆍ New Adventurers can progress rapidly by completing all five "Everfrost" Stories, then push through the Main Quests quickly.
- 100%/200%/300% Hot Time item effects are not applied in Everfrost.
ㆍ [Flute of Unity] and [French Toast] buffs will be applied.
- You can find "Broken Winter Altars" in Everfrost.
ㆍYou can step on a "Broken Winter Altar" to activate it, and fast travel between altars that have been activated.
- You can ride horses in Everfrost.

- Citron Tea is essential in fending off the cold in Everfrost.
ㆍ Each Citron Tea grants you the "Warm Citron Tea" buff for 20 minutes, and as long as the buff is being applied, you can continue your adventure in Everfrost.
ㆍ [Citron Tea] expires within 24 hours upon obtaining it, and once it expires, you can sell it to vendors.
ㆍ Holy Vial of Light is not spent in Everfrost.
- If you enter Sleep Mode after the character doesn't do anything in a zone where Citron Tea is active, you'll automatically be moved to a safe town in Everfrost.
ㆍ The above feature will not be activated if Sleep Mode is off in settings.

Developer Commentary

Under persistently harsh conditions in extremely cold weather, Everfrost monsters have adapted to survive with their high HP and AP. They can also detect targets at a wide range, which means you may find yourself in a risky situation with the lack of HP potions or HP recovery effects.

With the high level of difficulty, you can also loot high tier items.

A unique aspect of Everfrost is that there are common base rewards lootable from monster zones ranging from 39,000 to 60,000 CP while there also are rewards specific for each monster zone.

[Voidsent Eye], a key material for crafting Eternal Accessories, can be looted across all monster zones of this new region, but you can also obtain loot specific to each monster type.

For example, you can loot a variety of different items from different monsters such as [Tangled Time] from Everfrost Bashims, [Eternal Bracelet] from the Okjinsini, [Supreme EXP Scroll] from the Winter Forest Ronaros, and Unknown Memory (Earrings) from Ice Trolls, and more.

Adventurers can obtain a much wider variety of rewards in Everfrost the more they progress!

Enveloped in the chill of the eternal winter on the final bridge of wills, Erebjork was seen feeding the souls of the Okjinsini to the flames of the void.

Eilton Defense

Developer Commentary

The witches bless the villagers with the "Winterland Star" to console them, when nothing but eternal winter remains on the land as punishment for the Golden Dragon Labreska challenging the gods.

Snow that begins from the "Winterland Star" blankets the land and protects the Abets, villagers of Everfrost. They boast amazing survivability in the cold, evidenced by the snowy lands they continue to live in.

However, a mysterious occurrence turned the Okjinsini violent, and the Kanditus, Winter Forest Ronaros, Ice Trolls, and Pikus started to attack Eilton.

Their only target was the "Winterland Star," located in Eilton.

The Abets lacked combative skills, and could not defeat the waves of enemies. After careful consideration, the Chief of Eilton decided to recruit Adventurers to join Eilton Defense.

Adventurers can participate in this PvE content, designed so that you can experience a new feeling of tension and achievement as you fight against endless waves of enemies by taking on the request of the chief.

As you can only complete Eilton Defense once per week, we've added a minor "focus" factor.

Although manual combat is not mandatory like in PvP content, you must strategically set a target to attack first, then provide support where help is needed. You'll be able to experience familiar yet challenging new combat.

- Added PvE content, "Eilton Defense," in which many Adventurers gather in Eilton to prevent the invasion of monsters.
- The monsters' energy will get stronger with each action you take in the Mountain of Eternal Winter, and "Eilton Defense" will open after 24 hours from the point where the monsters are at max energy.
- After the update maintenance on Jun 27 (Tue), the first Eilton Defense will open when the monsters are at half energy instead of max energy to provide the experience for the new content to our Adventurers as quickly as possible.
- You can participate in Eilton Defense for an hour after it opens.
- Citron Tea will not be spent during participation in Eilton Defense.

- You must complete the quest "Ynix, the Holy Flame" from the Story - "The Mountain of Eternal Winter" and have a character in your Family at 39,000 CP or higher to participate in Eilton Defense.

- Eilton Defense can begin when at least 20 and up to 30 Adventurers are ready.

- You can participate in Eilton Defense once per week, and the participation count will refresh on Mondays at 00:00.
ㆍ Entries will be spent when you collect the rewards after successful Eilton Defense.
ㆍ If the town defense opens on Sunday and ends on Monday, entries will be spent based on the end time.

- Eilton Defense will automatically fail if no participants are inside the stage.
- You will be kicked from the match if you are out of combat for 5 minutes.
ㆍ You can rejoin within 10 minutes after leaving a match, and you can obtain rewards if you rejoin within 2 minutes after a match ends.
ㆍ You need at least 3,000 Contribution to obtain rewards.

※ Eilton Defense will not be held during Tuesdays due to weekly update maintenances. If update schedules change due to national holidays, we will inform you through a notice about Eilton Defense schedule changes.

ㆍ You can tap the speech bubble icon to communicate quickly with your allies during Eilton Defense.
ㆍ The cooldown for this function is 5 seconds.
- Only the top 3 Adventurers on the Contribution Leaderboard can use this ping feature, and this is set at the beginning of each wave.

- In Eilton Defense, you must join forces with your fellow Adventurers to protect Eilton's Holy Artifact, the "Winterland Star," from incoming monsters.
- You will fail Eilton Defense when the monsters destroy the Winterland Star.
- Eilton Defense lasts for 4 waves, each with different bosses and enemy strategies to defend against.

Market

Developer Commentary

Unlike other service regions, Adventurers on North America, Europe, and Asia servers were able to trade Accessories on the Market for Black Pearls since launch.

Accessories were frequently traded on the Market earlier in our service period. Recently, however, we have discovered an increase in the amount of botters abusing this Market system.

We constantly take action against botters with abnormal trade records. After reviewing our data, we have confirmed that most trade records on Accessories were abnormal and tied to the usage of unauthorized programs.

We decided that a fundamental change was required to ensure our Market stays fair, and we changed the Market currency for Accessories from Black Pearls to Silver with the update on Jun 27.

- Changed the Market currency for Accessories from Black Pearls to Silver. (Updated on June 28, 2023)
